Belize can proudly boast 560-recorded species of birds, thanks to its world-renowed bird sanctuaries. Well, St. christopher's Hotel is no world-renowned bird sanctuary, but we have been blessed with an impressive 200 recorded species. With the serene waters of the New River flowing through our backyard, along with its lush vegetation, a collection of exotic flowers that are a source of food, shelter and beauty, to being located in the heart of Orange Walk Town, all these features make St. Christopher's Hotel a little but astounding bird haven.
Any true birder would know that dawns are the most glorious time for bird watching. You don't have to be a professional birder to enjoy bird watching. All you need to do is wake up early in the morning, grab a pair of binoculars, bird book, take a stroll down to the river side and with a bit of luck on your side you can see everything from the everyday clay colored robin, a flock of boisterous and colorful of Aztec parakeets to the exceptionally rare like the Agami heron.
So it is our priviledge to invite to come stay with us and we will introduce you to our feathered friends, we assure that you'll fall in love with them.
